Corvids

Eurasian Jay

Icon of a Jay rotating
They are the shiest of all corvids, preferring to hide away in forests and scrubs, searching for insects, rather than living amongst crows and magpies in the hustle and bustle of human society. They help their private world become bigger, by hiding acorns as winter snacks, and letting their worried minds take them somewhere where they will forget they even planted them. Jays are my favourites of all corvids, who can't relate with being a little bit of a loner? Plus, the contrast of their unassuming beige body with their beautiful midnight sea wings. Puppy thinks they are very elegant, and they've got moustaches!
